Under the overall leadership of the Managing Director, the Commerical Director undertakes the following roles & responsibilities:
> Ensure that all order documentation is in place prior to the commencement of any contract.
> Build up relationships & negotiate with suppliers prior to procurement necessary materials for contract in line with site works programme.
> Liaise with client quantity surveyors once projects are 'live' providing quotations for any specification changes & additional or omitted works.
> Ensure all instructions for additional works or changes in specification are received prior to commencement of works onsite.
> Collate and value all onsite variations and dayworks in preparation for monthly valuations.
> Produce monthly valuations for all projects in line with with specific project deadlines as outlined in sub-contract order documentation.
> Chase any overdue / outstanding debts on current and historic projects.
> Assist managing Director in pursuing oustanding retenions being held past the defects period stated in sub-contract order documentation.
> Assist Managing Director in negotiating final account figures & resolve any account disputes.
> Review, sign off & log floor operatives weekly timesheets prior to payment of monthly salaries.
